The Redskins hit the road for their 4th straight road game as they took on ECC foes the Loveland Tigers on Thursday night. The boys got off to a fast start when Patrick found Brevin with a diagonal ball but his shot went just wide of the left post. Loveland came right back with a corner kick that was cleared out initially but the follow up shot came firing back and had to be cleared off the line. Back came the Redskins when Patrick found Jack with a slick back heel pass and Jack went flying in on goal just to see his shot slide left of the goal and keep the game scoreless. The Tigers would be the team that struck first when their long throw in was cleared out but fell right to a Loveland player who took a follow on shot that somehow found its way through the mass of bodies into the back of the net and suddenly we were down 1-0. We would bounce back just before halftime with the equalizer. Sam would beat his man off the dribble and get pulled down in the process to win a penalty kick. Sam finished off the sequence with a cool finish to the lower left corner and we were back on level terms going into halftime.

The second half would prove to be much better for Anderson as they played with a greater sense of urgency and intensity. Elliot started things off with an excellent service into the box but Patrick's header was tipped over by the Tigers keeper. The go ahead goal would come as the result of some hard work and pressure. Alexander "Hammy" Hamilton went hard down the right sideline to save a ball and was able to somehow slide it back to Brevin. He slipped it in to Joey who cut it back on his left foot, went past a defender and blasted a shot into the upper left hand corner to make it 2-1. Great sequence and combination of hard work and skill. We weren't quite finished as we applied more pressure to Loveland. Jack would put the game out of reach when he took a through ball from Sam and hit an absolute laser into the upper 90, not a chance for the keeper to save it. Great team effort from the boys with nice contributions from some guys that haven't been mentioned much in these summaries - Hammy, Max Rothuss, Ryan Kelley, and Teddy Kolesinikov among them. The Redskins move to 4-0 in the ECC and 10-1 overall. Up next for the lads is another road game as they travel to Wyoming for a game on Saturday, 9/23 at 3:00
